5/5

"Jules helped me to feel so much more comfortable during labor! She was encouraging and positive when I felt anxious and defeated. It’s the little things that make a difference and she helped with all of them! She helped fill my birth tub, watched my oldest so that my husband could focus on me, provided counter pressure and massage, helped with clean up and even took some pictures for me!”

"Jules was our doula for my third birth. I don’t think it was a coincidence that this was my dream birth! Having her there made a huge difference. She is experienced and confident and she definitely knows her stuff. You can just tell that she is passionate about birth and that she genuinely cares about you individually and about giving you the best experience possible!”

"Jules is amazing! She helped with my first birth. At first, I was on the fence about even hiring a doula but I'm so glad I did! She was just as important a member of my birth team as was my midwife! I don't know what I would've done without her! She helped so much with counter pressure and even though my husband did that as well, I felt like I needed both sets of hands! She repeated affirmations to me throughout labor and helped me remember to breathe. She also brought me juice and ice to stay hydrated. Her presence was very reassuring.”

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What if I can't afford a doula?
A. A wise person once told me that you pay for your birth one way or another, so what is your currency?
Stats show that having a doula present significantly reduces interventions. Without a doula you are more likely to pay for the cost of interventions, a c-section, physical/emotional repercussions, formula, etc.

Q. If my husband will be with me, or my mother for example, do I still need a doula?
A. Adding another support person can actually increase connection with your spouse. A doula can meet the basic needs of both you and your husband so that he can give you his full attention. Even with your mom (or someone else present), you will find that additional support is not only helpful, but necessary!

Q. What if another client goes into labor at the same time?
A. I only take 2-3 clients a month and I always have a backup doula who you can meet before in case something unexpected happens and I can't attend your entire birth.
